Many other jobs can lead to the Prime Minister's Office. Alexander Mackenzie, one of four prime ministers born in Great Britain, worked as a stonemason before becoming a journalist and then a politician. Among the other occupations represented in our leaders' social backgrounds are education, business, medicine, and the civil service.
