Dear Prime Minister
| Prime ministers receive correspondence on every possible subject, much of it from ordinary Canadians. The volume of such mail has increased dramatically since John A. Macdonald's day, when a prime minister could answer much of his correspondence in his own hand. Today, in a single day, our leaders receive hundreds, sometimes thousands, of letters, the tone of which ranges from vehement hostility to heartfelt admiration. |
