Choosing a Cabinet
| One of the first things a new prime minister must do is choose a Cabinet,
the team of people who help him or her make decisions and run the federal
government. These people are usually Members of Parliament, but are
sometimes senators. |

Key Word
- federal:
- Having to do with the government of all of Canada - not provincial governments or other levels of government.
