Biographical sketch
Journalist, writer and publisher.  Bewdley, Ontario. 

Scope and content
The fonds contains records pertaining primarily to Charles Clay's role in organizing a dinner in honour of John Murray Gibbon by the Composers, Authors and Publishers Association of Canada on March 21, 1946 in Ottawa:  correspondence and manuscript of Tribute to a Nation Builder; also includes Clay's correspondence with J.M. Gibbon and Arthur Stringer. 

Immediate source of acquisition:  acquired from the former National Librarian of Canada, Guy Sylvestre, in 1973.
