Canadian Musical Heritage Society fonds.  - 1982-1988.  - 2.65 m of textual records.  - 861 photographs. 

Administrative history
Organization established in order to prepare an anthology of the earliest works composed in Canada (1790-1940), which are among the most interesting musically and historically.  Each volume inventories a specific musical genre, and contains a commentary as well as a brief history of the evolution of the genre represented.  To date, 24 volumes have been published in the collection entitled Canadian Musical Heritage

Scope and content
The fonds contains records pertaining to the Society's activities:  financial records; drafts of publications; photographic reproductions of musical works selected for the publications. 

Immediate source of acquisition:  acquired from the Canadian Musical Heritage Society in 1989.
