Franco Colombo fonds.  - 1905-1980.  - 12 cm of textual records.  - 9 photographs. 

Biographical sketch
A music publisher in New York and Toronto, Ontario after 1969, he was president of the Canadian Music Publishers Association from 1974 to 1975. 

Scope and content
The fonds contains records pertaining to the publishing work of Franco Colombo:  some 50 items of correspondence between Colombo and personalities in the world of music, such as Marius Constant, Van Cliburn, Varèse, Stokowski, Milhaud, Menotti and Montemezzi; autograph manuscripts of compositions or arrangements by Canadian composers Robert Aitken, Donald Coakley, Rudolf Komorous and Norman Symonds; collection of photographs (Nellie Melba, Eleonora De Cisneros, Leopoldo Mugnone, Mary Garden). 

Immediate source of acquisition:  acquired from Franco Colombo in 1990.
