Canadian University Music Society fonds.  - 1972-1990.  - 1.40 m of textual records. 

Administrative history
National society, formerly active under the name of the Canadian Association of University Schools of Music (1965-81), whose objectives include the promotion of exchanges of views between the principals and professors of music schools, establishment of standards for university music programs, improvement of methods of teaching music at the university level, and the provision of consulting services.  The Society includes university departments, faculties or schools of music, their professors, and other music professionals.  It also publishes the journal called Canadian University Music Review

Scope and content
The fonds contains records pertaining to the activities of the Society:  constitution (amendments); correspondence; minutes; financial records; reports; curricula; newsletters; records concerning annual general meetings and executive committee meetings; memorandums; texts of lectures; lists of individual members. 

Immediate source of acquisition:  acquired from the Society in 1990 and 1997.
