Biographical sketch
Organizer and patroness, Trudi Le Caine worked in the Ottawa area starting in the 1940s.  Stepdaughter of Arnold Walter and wife of Hugh Le Caine, she received the Order of Canada in 1991 for career achievement. 

Scope and content
The fonds contains records pertaining to the professional activities of Trudi Le Caine:  correspondence; files pertaining to different musical projects and organizations, such as Le Groupe de la Place Royale, Starnia Art Foundation, Eugene Kash Children's Concerts, National Arts Centre Orchestra Association, Friends of the National Gallery, Espace Musique, Carl Orff Canada, National Youth Orchestra, and the Hugh Le Caine Project; concert programmes; reports; certificates; tributes; press clippings; miscellaneous photographs. 

Immediate source of acquisition:  acquired from Trudi Le Caine in several accessions between 1992 and 1995.
