Biographical sketch
Printer and photographer, Charles A.G. Matthews was president of the firm of Sampson, Matthews Ltd. and also a member of the Arts and Letters Club of Toronto. 

Scope and content
The fonds contains records pertaining to the professional activities of C.A.G. Matthews:  correspondence with recognized artists such as Healey Willan, Sir Ernest MacMillan, David Ouchterlony, Eugene Ormandy and Reginald Stewart; programmes and clippings concerning the careers of these artists; photographs of personalities in the music world. 

Immediate source of acquisition:  acquired from Charles A.G. Matthews in 1975.
