Montreal Junior Symphony Orchestra fonds.  - 1947-1971.  - 3 cm of textual records.  - 11 photographs. 

Administrative history
Group founded and conducted by Lewis V. Elvin.  On his retirement in 1971, he was replaced by Eugene Husaruk. 

Scope and content
The fonds consists of records illustrating the musical activities of the orchestra:  history of the orchestra, 1947-1963; programmes; press clippings, posters and photographs covering the tours of England (1954) and Scandinavia (1963) and the orchestra's participation in the International Festival of Youth Orchestras (1970). 

Immediate source of acquisition:  acquired from Lewis V. Elvin in 1972.
