Surgeon, composer, arranger and author, Thomas Bedford Richardson wrote an English translation of O Canada. Toronto, Ontario. 

Scope and content
The fonds contains records pertaining to the musical activities of Thomas Bedford Richardson:  correspondence; autograph music manuscripts of arrangements and compositions for voice, chamber orchestra, and choir and orchestra; press clippings; notes and contracts with Whaley, Royce & Co. Ltd.  for O Canada

Immediate source of acquisition:  acquired from Florence Richardson Hagerman and Ralph B. Richardson, children of Thomas Bedford Richardson, in 1974.
