Biographical sketches
James Yuille Stuart Ross:  Professor of music at Saint Andrews College, he also worked as organist and choirmaster in many Toronto institutions, including St. George's United Church. 

Olive Ross:  Wife of J.Y.S. Ross.  Toronto and Scarborough, Ontario. 

Scope and content
The fonds contains records pertaining to the musical activities of J.Y.S. Ross:  manuscript of the piece for voice and piano High Flight; correspondence; biographical notes; press clipping. 

Immediate source of acquisition:  acquired from Olive Ross in 1980.
