Biographical sketch
Violinist and conductor born in Montréal, Quebec, Jerry Shea founded the Canadian Musicians' Benevolent and Educational Association in 1930. 

Scope and content
The fonds contains records pertaining to the professional activities of Jerry Shea:  scrapbook of the Canadian Musicians' Benevolent and Educational Association, containing press clippings and correspondence; Jerry Shea's appointment book; photographs of groups and of Jerry Shea. 

Immediate source of acquisition:  acquired from D'Arcy Shea, son of Jerry Shea, in 1977.
