Vol. 3034

Lansdowne House

The photographs taken during the Moose Factory and Moosonee trip for the adhesions to Treaty 9 in the summer of 1935 were probably by Commissioner H.N. Awrey. This file was formerly part of the Red Series, RG 10, vol. 3034, file 235,225, part C, and was later transferred to the Photo Division, accession 1971-205. The images in the RG 10 file are copies of the original photographs. 3 pages

Location: About fifty miles north of Fort Hope on Lake Attawapescat

Trading Posts: The H.B. Co. and R. F. Trading Co. are located here.

Indian: About half of the Fort Hope Indians hunt in this district.

Reserve: There is no Indian reserve here. The reserve for these Indians is located at Fort Hope.

Religions: The greater part of these Indians belong to the R.C. Church though the Anglicans have a good following of about 40%.

Transportation: By canoe from Ombabika (sp?) or by planes from Collins
