Formative Evaluation of the National Archival Development Program
Final Report

2.0 Profile of the National Archival Development Program

The NADP was initiated in 2006 by the LAC, in collaboration with the Canadian Council of Archives (CCA), to replace the previous Grants and Contributions program. The program provides contribution funding to archival institutions for projects and provides funding to the CCA for administering this funding and for developing archival capacity. The NADP was designed to complement the new mandate of the LAC and the shifting priorities of the archival community (LAC, 2005). This section of the report provides a policy context for the program and explains the program's goals, activities, expected impacts, management structure, and resources.
