The NADP was developed through collaboration between LAC and the Canadian Council of Archives (CCA) in 2006. The purpose of the NADP was to adapt the previous Grants and Contributions program to meet the changing needs of the Canadian archival community, the revised mandate of LAC (LAC, 2005), and TB requirements. Currently, the program provides contribution funding to archival institutions across the country for projects and provides funding to CCA for administering this funding and for developing archival capacity. This section of the report presents the underlying policy context of the program. It explains program logic, including the program's goals, activities, and expected impacts. In addition, it provides an overview of NADP management structure and resources over the program life cycle.
