Summative Evaluation of the National Archival Development Program
3.2 Key informant interviews
A detailed review of documents and administrative data related to the NADP was an important line of evidence. Included in the review were:
- The formative evaluation of the NADP
- Terms and conditions
- The NADP RMAF-RBAF
- LAC's departmental performance reports
- Performance measurement reports
- Program guidelines, application, reporting templates and project files
- Business plans
An instrumental part of the document review involved a review of a sample of project files (n=40). The review focused entirely on projects from the 2008-09 and 2009-10 fiscal years, as the 2008 formative evaluation had involved a review of files from the previous funding years. The projects were chosen for review to provide a representative sample of projects under each objective, geographical location, and size.
The project file review focused primarily on results achieved through an examination of final and interim reports, applications, and correspondence.
