Disaster Control Organization
The Disaster Control Organization (DCO) is primarily concerned with coordinating operations in order to prevent disasters when possible, to minimize damage, and to foster preparedness among the staff of the National Archives and the National Library.
This organization represents most, if not all, of the sections and divisions that would play a critical role in case of a disaster. To the extent possible, the National Archives and the National Library are equally represented on the DCO.
