Robert Dudley

Robert Dudley (active 1858-1898) was an English illustrator working for The London Illustrated News. He was sent to Newfoundland by the British newspaper to record the landing of the Atlantic Cable, and in 1867 he published a set of 25 lithographs entitled The Atlantic Telegraph, based on his watercolours of this event.
