Italian drama--Renaissance

The nucleus of the collection was purchased in 1967. It has been expanded by Professors Milton A. Buchanan, Beatrice Corrigan, and Hannibal Noce.

The collection is a large collection of plays in Italian, including plays set to music and first performed before 1815. Translations into other languages are also present.

Italian language material predominates.

3,000 items.

The collection is catalogued. Operas are entered in the "Italian Plays" special file under the name of the librettist. Special bibliographies are available (see below).
