Description The collection is one of only half a dozen collections in the world which hold over one-third of all books printed before 1801.The collection contains seventeenth and eighteenth century English literature; seventeenth century political commentary; and seventeenth and eighteenth century imprints of criticism and commentary. The chronological emphasis is from 1638 to the present. Selective acquisitions are made as funds permit. Language English. Holdings 850 monographs; 1 serial. Currently, 1 serial is received.
