The collection was established in 1975 with the subscription to the fiche services of annual reports of companies reporting to the Ontario Securities Commission. Subscription to American annual reports started in 1981. Subscription to American 1OK reports started in 1976.
Description
The collection contains corporate reports from Canada and the U.S. Present acquisition policy is to acquire annual reports and 1OK reports from companies trading on the American and New York stock exchanges. Annual reports, annual financial statements, and prospectuses for companies reporting to the Ontario Securities Commission are also collected. Prospectuses and reports for over the counter companies from the U.S. are excluded. Proxy reports are also excluded for Canadian and American companies. The library anticipates the expansion of American reports to include over the counter companies if funds become available.
Language
English predominates. Some Quebec companies file reports in French. There is also selected foreign language material.
Holdings
6,000 company reports; 152,200 microforms.
Bibliographic Access
The collection is uncatalogued. Reports are arranged alphabetically by company name in microfiche cabinets.
Physical Access
The collection is open to the public, Monday-Sunday, 8:00 a.m.-10:15 p.m. Hours are shorter during the summer months and weekends.
Interlibrary Loan: The library will send fiche copies of microfiched documents.
Reprography: There is a coin-operated fiche reader-printer.
