The collection was established in 1980. It was given to the library by Professor H.Gordon Skilling who had gathered the material from 1930 to 1980.
Description
The collection is a collection of books on Czechoslovakia from the early 1930s to the early 1960s. It traces Czechoslovakia's development from independence to the Soviet take-over after World War II. The main focus is on the take-over and the subsequent sovietization of Czechoslovakia. The chronological emphasis is from 1919 to 1967. Future plans are to fill gaps as the budget permits.
