The collection was begun in 1972 with a purchase of first editions and other materials relating to Conrad Potter Aiken (1889-1973). From 1973 to 1975, Mr. Jerry Miner, then of the university library, enlarged the collection to include all primary and secondary materials (excluding manuscripts) relating to Aiken.
Description
The collection includes one copy of each published edition of Conrad Aiken's works, in monograph, anthology, and serial formats. Fugitive items and new editions continue to be added to the collection although the major thrust of collecting has been completed. Secondary material to support the collection will be found in the main collection.
