The collection was established in 1958. It is formed partly from the private collection of Milton A. Buchanan, professor of Italian and Spanish. This collection was given to the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library in 1958.
Description
The collection is an extensive collection of Italian Renaissance and Spanish literature. It includes numerous sixteenth century plays. Works on Spanish history are excluded. Gaps in the collection are filled, as funding permits.
