The collection was established in 1963. It forms part of the German Expressionist and Exile Literature Collection.
Description
The collection includes material by and about Georg Kaiser, the leading dramatist of German expressionism. Kaiser wrote some seventy-four plays, in addition to novels, poems, essays, dramatic sketches and over one thousand letters. The collection includes first editions, theses, international symposia proceedings, and bibliographical works. Most of Kaiser's manuscripts are included in photocopies and microforms from the Kaiser Archive in Berlin and the Caesar von Arx Archive in Switzerland.

German material predominates.
