History
The collection was established in 1975. A collection of works acquired from a bookseller has since been added.

Description
The collection includes many editions of most of Kingsley's works in the fields of literature and theology. Unique items include a small group of manuscripts and one or two rarities. The chronological emphasis is ca 1848-1900. Items are acquired, when available, from antiquarian booksellers.
