The collection was established in 1968. It began as a block purchase from a book dealer and has been developed since.
Description
The collection includes most of D.H. Lawrence's works in several editions. Biographical and critical commentaries on Lawrence and his work are included, and several rare items can be found. The chronological emphasis is from ca l910 to the present. Manuscript material is excluded from the collection. All secondary material is acquired. Works not already in the collection are acquired from antiquarian booksellers when available.
