W.B. Yeats Collection
Queen's University, Douglas Library, W.D. Jordan Special Collections and Music Library

Subjects
Yeats, W.B.; Irish literature

History
The collection was established in the 1950s. Intensive collecting began with the appointment of two professors with an interest in Anglo-Irish literature to the Department of English. A grant has helped build the collection.

Description
The collection is complemented by the Yeats' family set of Dun Emer and Cuala Press imprints; scarce first editions; the Darwin Yarish Collection of George William Russell (AE), and strong holdings in Anglo-Irish literature [Monk Gibbon, Katharine Tynan and others]. The present acquisition policy is to acquire any Cuala Press imprints not already in the collection. Secondary material and reference works are added regularly when available.

Language
English.

Holdings
516 monographs; 3 serials currently received. Supplementary material to support this collection will be found in the mainstacks collection.
