Founded in 1900 and based at the Eva Brook Donly Museum in Simcoe, Ontario, the Norfolk Historical Society (NHS) maintains Norfolk's premiere genealogical resources. The Society provides an Archives Programs to assist genealogy researchers on-site and over the Internet. The Society sponsors Ontario's oldest and largest annual genealogy fair, hosts monthly meetings of two genealogy groups, publishes two quarterly newsletters, operates the area's only historical book and gift shoppe, and maintains a Web site. The Web site contains indexes to BMD, voters’ lists, transcriptions from articles, books, census, biographies and accompanying photo, etc.
