Provincial Archives of Alberta
Description:
The Provincial Archives of Alberta is the primary repository for Alberta's documentary heritage. The holdings consist of government records, private papers, maps, architectural drawings, paintings/drawings, historic photographs, sound holdings, archival video holdings and film holdings. Records date predominantly from 1841 to the present. The Web site is uni-lingual English and consists of one page which briefly describes the holdings, services, hours of service and the contact information. There are no online research facilities. Researchers are encouraged to visit during public hours and speak to the reference archivists. Inquiries may be submitted by e-mail, telephone or fax.
