Hudson's Bay Company Archives
Description:
The Hudson's Bay Company archives were donated to the Province of Manitoba and are administered as a separate division of the Archives of Manitoba in Winnipeg called the Hudson's Bay Company Archives. It is an extraordinary collection of books, letters, ledgers, ships' logs, pictures, photographs, maps and reports. The Web site is bilingual. It contains finding aids and microfilm shelf-lists. More than four thousand microfilm reels of HBC archives are now available for research use at the National Archives of Canada in Ottawa and also at the Public Record Office, Kew, England. Inquiries can be sent by letter, phone, fax or e-mail
