The Saskatchewan Archives Board, a joint university/government agency, is responsible for acquiring, preserving and making accessible documentary records bearing on all aspects of the history of Saskatchewan. Records are collected in all information formats including paper, microfilm, maps, drawings, photographs, audiotape, videotape and film. The Web site is uni-lingual English. The family history section advises researchers how to prepare for genealogical research visits. This very detailed guide is available in html and PDF format. There are no online indexes. The Saskatchewan Archives operates out of two cities: Regina and Saskatoon. Offices in both cities offer the full range of reference services; however, each office has areas of specialization. Some records are available on microfilm and may be borrowed via inter-library loan. Inquiries can be sent by telephone, fax, letter or e-mail.
