Provincial Archives of New Brunswick
The Provincial Archives of New Brunswick collects, preserves, and makes available for research, documents and records bearing upon the history of New Brunswick. The holdings consist of architectural drawings, government records, maps and plans, photographs, private records and sound and moving images. The archives holds an extensive collection of genealogical sources for the entire province. The Web site is bilingual. It gives access to over 20 online databases relating to various subjects. Several finding aids are also available online and there are some digitized images. County guides describing genealogical records for each county are available online in a PDF format. There is brief information on how to start your genealogical research. Inquiries can be sent by e-mail, fax or telephone. Microfilms are available through inter-institutional loan.
