Title year:1973
Original dialogue(s):French
Running time:86 min 28 sec
Premiere date:Montréal (Villeray) February 27, 1975
Description:Based on a true story that happened in the 1950s, LA GAMMICK tells the story of François (Chico) Tremblay, an average guy who works as a loyal small-time hood in Montréal, then comes face to face with the big boys in the American mafia. More than just a drama, LA GAMMICK has social and ideological elements that make it enjoyable on many levels. It shows that gangsters are a social problem in Québec like everywhere else.
