This database contains references to the personnel records of the more than 4,000 men who served in the North West Mounted Police (NWMP) between 1873 and 1904. The records provide an unparalleled insight into the life and career of those who served on the frontier police force and on the early development of Western Canada and the Yukon. The files often contain personal correspondence, clippings and other information about the individual (sometimes even after his discharge from the force).
