Description:
In this unit, students learn about one or more of the early settlement communities of Canada through playing interactive games, researching prepared text and examining a variety of primary documents. They learn to think creatively and critically while completing activities that will give them a better understanding of the settlement community or communities they are studying. In a culminating activity, they will share their learning by producing a poster that will teach others about their settlement group(s).
