Future.Con
A Speculative Novel of the Near Future
by Nowick Gray
"My
screen is waiting, the eye is open and hungry…"
In this richly woven psychological thriller,
a computer programmer falls prey to a virtual reality virus
that threatens to destroy his relationships, his career
and his sanity.
Future.Con is every computer programmer's
nightmare: the virus that shows up in the user side of the
interface. With instructions to kill and a baffling menu
of choices, Joe Norton's all-too-ordinary life is coming
apart at the seams. Is the only way out, to go further in?
Never mind that one shaky relationship gives way to another,
or that his career is jeopardized by a corporate buyout.
Norton has another job to take care of on the paranormal
side of life, as he discovers that virtual reality is not
confined to hardware.
