The Essays of Lee Boyd

Lee Boyd, lives in Aiken, South Carolina, USA. he is thirty-three years old and majored in English at the University of South Carolina. Lee now works in the world of finance. "How did that happen?" he asks.

Lee says, "I write to take the annoying voices from my head and put them to a more useful purpose.

I used to write an online column in 1997, but got tired of the feedback from my own family (aunts, uncles, etc).

("Do you HATE us? Why would you say that? What's wrong with you?!?")

I'm not even sure how they came across computers.

More

Likes (aka Turn Ons): Originality

Dislikes (aka Turn Offs): Herd mentality, trendiness, not thinking for one's self, conformity, ... hey these are all the same thing ...

Career Goals: I would like to be a nationally syndicated columnist so that the whole world can hate me, and not just a few internet deviants.

Hobbies: Writing & reading. Most of my favorite authors are dead, so waiting for new material from them has become tedious. (Although Hemingway comes through for me every few decades.) Other favs are William Faulkner, Joseph Conrad, Mark Twain, JD Salinger, Larry McMurtry and Shakespeare. (Okay, I threw Shakespeare in there just to make myself look more intelligent).

My favorite thing in the world: My son, Jackson. I'm grooming him to be the next me. Because of this, I fear for his mental well-being, but hope for the best.

Lee's first submission to The Inditer is titled, "Tina Brown and the United Killers of Benetton"
