About Brenda Cooper

Brenda Cooper of Kelso, Washington is thirty-nine years old. She lives on a tiny farm with a tiny goat and good sized horse, a few dogs, and her almost twenty year old son.

As the Information Services Director for the City of Longview, Brenda works constantly with issues about information, privacy, security, and the role of local government in those areas.

Brenda says of herself, "My goals are to write and publish thoughtful science fiction and literary prose that affects how the reader sees the world in a positive manner and encourages creativity and thinking outside of traditional paths. I love the outdoors, intelligent loving friendships, and reading that makes me think, preferrably quite hard. Challenge is great. I play roller hockey, hike, sail, design web pages, and travel every chance I get.

I have been writing poetry as long as I can recall writing my name, have started seriously writing prose in the last year, and take creative writing classes at the local JC, Lower Columbia College.

As for her personal philosophy, Brenda says, "Anything is possible. Stay awake, know the path ahead, and watch for friends to walk with you for a time. They may surprise you."
