The Poetry of Liu
In The Absence Of Myself
I have been a daughter, lived under the family shelter.
I have been a dreamer, surrounded by beautiful colors.
I have been a fighter, realized life getting bitter.
With blessing, I came to the world.
With suffering, I hid myself from the world.
Formulize myself to survive in the standardized world.
Look at the mirror, the only reflection is my sorrow.
Finally I climbed to the fame, learning to deal with shame.
Searching for myself, it takes as the pearl in the shell.
My soul will be purified if there are enough to be sacrificed.
Getting older, I missed the little girl in mind.
Getting tougher, I lost innocence of heart.
I cry, I ask why.
Can't release from freedom if I have no wisdom.
Can't ease my tears unless I conquer fears.
Can't digest happiness till I swallow my sorrow.
