Short Stories by Margaret Karmazin

""Cover Up" - Fiction, but it's real and it's a damned shame!

"The Summer I Tried to be Jewish"

"Foreign Student"

As a way of introducing herself, 52 year old Margaret Karmazin has this to say:

I live with my sweet husband and two cats on a beautiful lake in rural north-east Pennsylvania. I am both artist and writer with illustrations in SageWoman, and regional magazines in the Bucks County, PA area, and paintings in local galleries and shows.

My short stories have appeared in Reader's Break, Potato Eyes, and Short Stories Bimonthly, with others accepted for future publication in several other periodicals, essays in Infinity and Penn Lines and a comment piece in SageWoman. At present I am writing a novel about a female shaman. With a BS degree in Art Education, I once taught elementary art, then later was a substitute teacher at the local high school, but now sit in front of my computer all day writing and sending email. When not doing this, I am madly working out on my gym equipment to fight off the proliferation of fat cells formed from sitting in front of the computer.

My interests lie in psychology, anthropology, and paranormal studies (especially life after death contacts, near death experiences, UFOs and Charles Fort type stories). My personal philosophy is that of A Course in Miracles. I can't praise that course enough. As for dislikes, I am not fond of New Jersey, drop in company, eating dinner late, and bigots (yes, I know I am a bigot about New Jersey). Cadbury Chocolate is my favorite food.
