My Three Loves
.....by Richard Koss
My three loves - music, books and women
Not necessarily in that order
And though some were lost, all is forgiven
Buried among life's bricks and mortar
Don't take my classics, jazz and show tunes
Let me keep old rock and roll
They'll still remain, long past the new moons
Unlike rap, hip-hop and soul
If only my tired blue eyes would last
I'd read all night, from Keats to Poe
And let the great works of the past
Deliver me from each day's woe
Though marriage would only be a bore
I miss scent Le Femme, much like a hound
But I've been married twice before
So let's just be friends and fool around
