What challenges did you face when starting and operating your own business?

Rama Moccasin & Craft Shop:  1. Financial constraints.
                             2. Lack of community support.
                             3. Difficulty finding a supplier - Had to search for suppliers
                                 suitable for this kind of business.  We set up booths in
                                 different places to drum up business.  This was the biggest
                                 set back.


The Old Indian:              1. Financial contraints.
                             2. Financial management.
                             3. Personal time contraints - lack of planning.


M'njikaning Art Studio:      1. Financial contraints - funding. 
                             2. Business plan - not having one is difficult.
                                 There is definitely a need there.
                             3. Commitment - stay to the plan.


Iron Horse Iron Works:       1. Discipline.
                             2. Time management.
                             3. Getting key people to work with.


The Wolf's Den:              1. Financial contraints.
                             2. Developing market.
                             3. Obtaining wholesalers to deal with. 
                                 The wholesalers didn't want to deal
                                 with their business because it was
                                 not a mainstreet window.
