The highly diverse Aboriginal population of Canada has fascinated non-Aboriginal photographers since the inception of the photographic medium. There are thousands of images in Library and Archives Canada's collection that document the rich heritage of Aboriginal peoples in Canada, highlighting each group's traditional ways of life, material culture, architecture and modes of dress.
