Gallery - The Work of John Boyd

John Boyd (1865-1941) was a Toronto-based amateur photographer whose work as a railway official brought him and his camera across Ontario. Boyd was a prolific photographer; he experimented with new technological processes and photographed every aspect of life around him. Library and Archives Canada holds over 28,000 of his outstanding negatives and photographic prints, which provide endless insight into the social history of his time.
