Launch of the Genealogy and Family History Web Site

OTTAWA, March 29, 2003 - The official launch by the Library and Archives of Canada of the Genealogy and Family History Web site took place at the 21st annual meeting of the Ottawa Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society (Gene-O-Rama).
Mike More, Chairman of the Ottawa Branch, welcomed Ian E. Wilson, Pierre Gamache and Antonio Lechasseur during the presentation of the new Web site to more than 250 genealogists, distinguished guests and journalists who participated in Gene-O-Rama.

Those who attended Gene-O-Rama were also able to socialize and talk with the Genealogy and Family History's implementation team, which had an information booth during the two-day event for genealogists from the National Capital Region.
