Domestics Brought to Canada

Mr Leverne Baxter and the Genealogy and Family History signed a memorandum of agreement on July 9, 2007. This agreement will permit users of the Genealogy and Family History Web site to consult a new online searchable nominal index of over 1500 domestics brought to Canada from Great Britain by Mrs Helen Sanford between 1898 and 1914 and by Mr. Benjamin Pipe, between 1905 and 1911.

This online nominal index will offer genealogists and all researchers interested in social and women's history increased access to Library and Archives Canada significant collection on immigration to Canada.
