Deputy Ministers' Roundtable on Information Management and Recordkeeping

(September 19th and October 6th 2006)

Library and Archives Canada (LAC) recognized the need to raise awareness of recordkeeping across government to the executive level following the Auditor General's Report of 2003. In 2005, LAC initiated a process with the Privy Council Office to hold Deputy Minister Roundtable sessions on Information Management and Recordkeeping. Deputy Ministers and Heads of Agencies agreed that an ADM taskforce on Recordkeeping could provide insight and guidance, as well as recommendations on recordkeeping issues.
