Library and Archives Canada Wows IFLA!
Promotional items were flying into people's hands like hotcakes! Delegates were so pleased to see traditional items such as buttons and postcards, staff could not keep up. Stories from libraries across Canada in Reaching Out: Innovation in Canadian Libraries, captivated Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada.

Today, at the opening ceremonies of the IFLA 2008 conference in Quebec City, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, receives the first copy of the publication Reaching Out: Innovations in Canadian Libraries from Mme Lise Bissonnette, CEO of Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec and Ian E. Wilson, Librarian and Archivist of Canada.
